"No footprint is too small to leave an imprint on your heart"
Pregnancy and Infant Loss differs from other loss, as the hopes and dreams for your baby are lost all too suddenly. The growing child in your womb was taken away so suddenly and at times, unexpectedly. With those lost dreams, the future can seem so devastating.
Common themes within bereaved parents are guilt, shame, questioning why, longing for more time with their child, missing member in the family, differences in ways of grieving between mothers and fathers, milestones (anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, etc) and many more.
Tiffany Thorson, MSW, LICSW has worked with mothers, fathers and families for years and has seen the "rawness" of their pain gradually decrease over time. The pain of missing your baby will never go away, but the intensity of it will lighten and give you the energy to Honor your baby.
Three Rivers Counseling will be happy to assist you with resources by mail or email if you desire, even if counseling may not be right for you. To obtain this information, please feel free to email [email protected].
